WHY IS GROUP TRAINING BETTER THAN INDIVIDUAL TRAINING?

WHY IS GROUP TRAINING BETTER THAN INDIVIDUAL TRAINING?

Do you like to workout with a group or do you like to workout alone? Which do you feel is best for you?

Today, I’m going to discuss the pros about training in a group setting and the cons when working out individually. When setting personal goals for yourself  you have to be very disciplined whether it’s fitness goals, better eating habits, waking up early etc. All of these examples are performed by self discipline. Working out can be a struggle for some, getting out of the bed and physically getting to your workout is probably the hardest part of it all. I used to workout at LA Fitness before I joined Karma Fitness. I enjoyed having my own schedule and my own workouts, but I noticed I never actually held myself accountable to finish each workout as I have at Karma Fitness. I have never been to a gym that has strong/ positive instructors that encourages you and pushes every client to achieve their goals mentally and physically. Today’s society people find themselves more comfortable working out alone because they have the leverage with picking what time they go to their workout or when they leave their workout. Most cases people like to be in control of the pace they workout at and when they can stop their workout. Whether they workout for 15 minutes, 30 minutes or an hour, they are in control of the duration of the workout. One major disadvantage for individual training is EXCUSES. Second major disadvantage is not receiving PROPER FEEDBACK. Group training can help you diversify your training routine. This makes it easier to become a more versatile athlete and develop your skills in different directions. At Karma, each workout is very challenging! It is far from easy but, you’re still at your own pace, you start and finish each workout all together as a group. Each instructor is walking around correcting form, motivating you, and also challenging you. The environment at Karma Fitness is very encouraging, each person that workouts comes in motivated and leaves feeling accomplished. You feed off of everyone's energy in each class, which is a very good trait to have in a gym setting. This trait allows each member to stay focused and stay motivated by the members  that are working out with them during the class. Not only do you have workout buddies, you also start to form friendships at Karma Fitness. We consider ourselves a family gym! The difference with working out alone and working at a gym is when you workout alone you may start to feel some sort of a burn…. It begins to hurt…You tell yourself you can’t do it….. so, you stop! Don’t make excuses for yourself to not finish your workout.  Yes, you can still take a break at Karma Fitness, but during those moments the instructors are there to motivate you to get through the burn and continue to push and breathe through every movement for the full hour of class. Set high standards for yourself and never underestimate your work ethic. You are capable of achieving the fitness goals that you desire, you may need a little help from us, and that’s fine! Come see us at Karma Fitness, we would love to have you start your fitness journey with us.
